Digital Humanities

General admission requirements

General admission requirements: a) min. 42 credtis on the field of Digital Humanities OR b) min. 42 credits on the field of Humanities or Social Sciences as well as 18 credits in Python und Data Science OR c) min. 42 credits on the field of Informatics as well as 18 credits on the field of Humanities Science.

Please also elaborate on further qualifications that may make you eligible for the programme, including their contents and scope (e.g. certificates, extra-curricular activities etc.). Please note that we can not take certificates into consideration, if it is not clear how many credits they are worth and what the exact learning objectives and aquired competences are.

Specific language requirements: Demonstration of sufficient English language skills on the level C1 by earning theminimum required grade on an internationally recognized test: a) UNIcert®: min. certificate UNIcert® III; b) NULTE-certificate: min. level C1; c) Cambridge English Scale: min. 180 points; d) „International English Language Testing System" (IELTS Academic): min. Band 6.5; e) „Test of English as a Foreign Language, internet-based test” (TOEFL iBT): min. 93 points; f) Global Scale of English (Pearson Academic): min. 76 points g) Demonstration of English language skills on level C1 of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR).

As a rule, the last test must have been taken no more than three years prior to submission of the application for admission to the Master's degree programme (date received). Applicants who have spent at least one year studying or working in an English-speaking country are exempt from this requirement. Moreover, exemptions apply to applicants who have successfully completed a BA programme (minmum two yeards) that is taught in English (proof required).

Paper documents are not required. Admission and rejection letters will be sent approximately in the middle/at the end of January 2025. In the middle of March/at the end of March 2025 there will be an additional application period. International students, who need a visa, have to apply during the regular application period until 1st December 2024
